Reckless Driver Causes Fatal Accident in Big Cottonwood Canyon

KSL News has reported a fatal Utah car accident that occurred on Saturday evening. According to police, the driver of a blue truck was driving recklessly through the southbound lanes of Big Cottonwood Canyon. The truck crossed into the oncoming lanes and smashed into a delivery van in a head-on collision. The drivers of both vehicles were rushed to a nearby hospital in extremely critical condition. The van’s driver died shortly after arriving at the hospital. The mouth of the canyon was closed as police investigated the accident. Police do not yet know if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
