Sandy City Woman Hit By a Car and Killed While Jogging

KSL News has reported a serious Utah pedestrian accident that took place at around 7:00 AM this morning. According to police, 62-year-old, Renee Fleckenstein was out jogging in Sandy, when she tried to cross an intersection. A car attempted to make a left-hand turn, and struck the women. Fleckstein, was thrown thirty feet. When emergency crews arrived, she was unconscious. She was transported via helicopter to University of Utah Medical Center and is in critical condition, but sadly passed away from her injuries.
